The Book of Ecclesiastes

Ecclesiastes - Chapter 5

Ecclesiastes 5:1 says, "Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil." "Keep thy foot" means "watch what church you walk into, be aware of their teachings." "Fool" means "stupid, arrogant." It is necessary to discern if you are truly in a "House of Father God" where "His Teachings" are being taught and not the foolishness of the Biblically illiterate who call themselves teachers and playing church. You will only know the difference if you are familiar with Father's Word so you know the truth from the lies. You can be sure if Father's Word is not taught from pulpits Chapter by Chapter and Verse by Verse, you are in the wrong church.

Ecclesiastes 5:2 says, "Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter [any] thing before God: for God [is] in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few." "Rash" means "to be hasty." When you pray and communicate with Father, you do not want to be rushing wherein you make promises you will not keep or you are just spending a little time with Jesus so you can rush off to please your earthly desires. It is far better to say nothing than to think you are fooling Father God with your empty words. Our LORD wants His children to understand His Word, those spiritual things spoken from His mouth as He sits on His Throne in Heaven and when you understand His Truths, spiritually you are with Him, knowing right from wrong.

Ecclesiastes 5:3 says, "For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice [is known] by multitude of words." Working diligently to sustain your physical body and working harder to sustain your spiritual body, when you lay down to sleep, you have pleasant dreams (peace of mind) as you "Rest is in Christ Jesus" because you are doing right, are grateful and this pleases Father God. A fool (the stupid or arrogant one) however, spews foolishness from their mouths in the name of the god they serve with their Biblical illiteracy and when they sleep, their dreams having as much sense as what they speak; there is just plain confusion since they have no "Rest in Christ Jesus." Even in their dreams there is unrest as they wrestle with ideas that have no substance.

Ecclesiastes 5:4 says, "When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for [he hath] no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed." "Vow" means "a promise." It is better to not make promises to Father than to make and break them. Just speak with Father and let Him know you are doing the very best you can and ask for His help with whatever weighs heavy on your heart. Father surely appreciates that humble offering over a commitment that is difficult for you to keep. Flesh can cause you to stumble, having no dedication to Father, since it is a shell and this is why you want your spiritual self to have a true relationship, Spirit to spirit with our Father, who knows all things about you, through Christ Jesus. You do not have to prove you are a trying to walk a Christ-like path, Father knows when you are.

Ecclesiastes 5:5 says, "Better [is it] that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay." The flesh being weak as it is, it is better not to make promises to Father God if they are not from your spiritual self. However, if you have made a vow to Father, keep it or do the very best you can to keep it, always communicating with Father, seeking forgiveness when you slip away from that promise, always from a humble heart. Just to touch on the earthly matter, be watchful of churches who press you to make a vow, such as with tithing, enticing you to do so with religious words. Most often they are simply stealing your money for their cause, which is supporting their life of luxury. Offer your tithes where you are taught truth and use common sense when doing so, seeking guidance from Father God.

Ecclesiastes 5:6 says, "Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it [was] an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?" An "angel" is a "messenger" being the "Spirit that comes from Almighty God (Spirit to spirit). Do not let the words of your mouth cause you to be sinful before Father God. Pray and meditate on what you feel is necessary to promise before doing so, knowing it is of your spiritual self and not just a whim of your physical self. If you have made a promise that you did not keep, do not lie to Father and deny having made it or say it was a mistake, because when you lie Father will not trust you. Rather, let Father know you are sorry, repent from a pure heart in the Name of Christ Jesus, do the best you can to be pleasing to Father and receive His blessings. Father's Word, His Truths will bring you knowledge and understanding of what is necessary to be pleasing to Him and you will find promises are not really necessary, especially when they are to your detriment, because you willfully lied. Father wants you to love Him, seek the increase of understanding, receive His gifts, be under His will and be worthy to do His work upon this earth. Let your spiritual self be your guide and not your physical self.

Ecclesiastes 5:7 says, "For in the multitude of dreams and many words [there are] also [divers] vanities: but fear thou God." "Fear" means "love, revere." When your mind gets mixed up and you are unable to make sense of things, empty words start coming out of your mouth wherein your thoughts and words make no sense and you find yourself doing the wrong things. Love Father God and listen to His Word. Seek to walk a Christ-like path, feel the Holy Spirit and let your thoughts, words and actions be pleasing to Father because you are doing those things which are right because you "love Him."

Ecclesiastes 5:8 says, "If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for [he that is] higher than the highest regardeth; and [there be] higher than they." "The Highest" is "Father God Almighty." Father sits high and looks low and sees how His children are mistreated and misguided. He sees how lifestyles and acts of injustice go without penalty. Our LORD hates injustice perpetrated by people who sit in the seats of justice. Father God is our "Highest Authority." He created all souls and all shall answer to Him. All the unrighteous people of this earth who are full of recklessness now with their evil doings and lies that mislead shall be held accountable. The day is coming when they will stand before the "Throne of Almighty God for that "Great White Throne Judgment" and all wrongs committed while walking in the flesh will be made right. Father God is "Judge and Jury." And let us not forget for the pulpit gurus misleading Father's children with their doctrines and traditions of men, judgment begins at the pulpit (I Peter 4:17) for them as well. Now is the time for any guilty of these offences to come before Father in the Name of Christ Jesus, confessing of their sins from a pure heart and changing from their wickedness.

Ecclesiastes 5:9 says, "Moreover the profit of the earth is for all: the king [himself] is served by the field." When it comes to the business (profit of the earth), the people (field) are more important to the employer (king) than the employer is to the people. Those with much, rich as a king, would not have anything at all if not for the people employed by them who do all the work. This is why all those who are under the will of Father God, while they are employed by the employer, their works are for and to please Father God. The employer thinks he is in charge, however he is not. Father God is in control of all things of Heaven and earth and all need the blessings of Father God to be blessed with those things which are needful. This is why no matter what your employer may do against you, stand on the "Rock of our Foundation who is Christ Jesus", love, serve and be under the "will of Father God Almighty", and you will always have a veil of protection from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. Father God takes care of His own (I Chronicles 16:22 / Psalms 105:15).

Ecclesiastes 5:10 says, He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this [is] also vanity." The flesh is never satisfied no matter how much it has, both hands full and still grabbing, worrying yourself to death over someone stealing it or being asked for assistance. Get a clue. When Father God is not a part of your life in a mighty way, no matter how much you have, you will never be satisfied because there is no peace of mind. If you are driven by the flesh and have no true spiritual love for Father God and Christ Jesus, having love, compassion, patience, all the emotions Christ Jesus taught as He walked the earth we should have in fellowship one for another, your empty shell is accompanied by a spirit body of emptiness as well.

Ecclesiastes 5:11 says, "When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good [is there] to the owners thereof, saving the beholding [of them] with their eyes?" All that you have, except for that which is needful to sustain your flesh body and provide you with the luxuries you crave are good for nothing except to stand and look at it. That is the only purpose it serves other than being given to someone else when you pass away.

Ecclesiastes 5:12 says, "The sleep of a labouring man [is] sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep." Those who work hard for Father God, physically and spiritually, have "rest (Christ Jesus) and peace of mind." They have very pleasant sleep. Those with much, worrying about keeping it selfishly and trying to increase it, excluding Father God for that which you can see, feel and touch, you have no rest (Christ Jesus) or peace of mind, therefore under the exhaustion of worry, you have no pleasant sleep. A fool does as a fool is, stupid.

Ecclesiastes 5:13 says, "There is a sore evil [which] I have seen under the sun, [namely], riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt." The "sore evil" troubling those who walk under the sun, flesh man, is maintaining the riches they have acquired. They have no rest or peace of mind because they have no love or have a relationship for or with Father God. Their love is for their tangible things. Worrying about anything means you "doubt Father God and His Promises" and that will certainly keep your spirit without "rest which is in Christ Jesus."

Ecclesiastes 5:14 says, "But those riches perish by evil travail: and he begetteth a son, and [there is] nothing in his hand." "Evil travail" means "to be broken - afflict/mishandled." They had the riches, worried themselves to death about it and all the while there was some slippery doer robbing them blind, and by the time they passed away, taking nothing tangible with them of course, there was nothing left. Also, you cannot leave to a loved one anything that no longer exists. It is far better to be concerned about your spiritual heritage which is passed down from Father God, if, you have earned it since it is Eternal.

Ecclesiastes 5:15 says, "As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand." Money comes and goes. You come into this world naked and you leave the same way. The flesh body returns to the dust, however your spirit self, your soul returns to Father God and how richly it will be clothed in the Eternal Age is entirely up to you as your garb shall be your righteous acts for Father God (Revelation - Chapter 7) as you walked within your flesh body. Revelation 14:13 says, "And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed [are] the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them."

Ecclesiastes 5:16 says, "And this also [is] a sore evil, [that] in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that hath laboured for the wind?" When the wind blows you cannot grasp a handful of it. The treasures of this earth are just as the wind, you cannot keep them within your hands. The treasures you seek are those which you "will" carry with you to the Eternal Age. Love and work for Father God while walking in the flesh so that your Heavenly rewards are great, given by Father to cloth yourself in the Heavenly Age.

Ecclesiastes 5:17 says, "All his days also he eateth in darkness, and [he hath] much sorrow and wrath with his sickness." "Darkness" is "satan." The "Light" is "Christ Jesus." Therefore, you feed from the "Light from Father's Word, who is Jesus Christ, our Living Word." You are in darkness when walking with satan wherein your life is one of fear, stumbling through the unknown, troubles and worry plaguing your living. Get out of that darkness and come to the "Light" where you will be received with gladness. Walk into the Truth of Father's Word, study and pray for the increase of understanding that only Almighty God can give when you seek, ask, and knock.

Ecclesiastes 5:18 says, "Behold [that] which I have seen: [it is] good and comely [for one] to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it [is] his portion." Stop worrying as you walk under the sun within your flesh body. Put your faith in Father God in all things that you do and seek to accomplish, remembering there is no obstacle anyone can put in your path that Father will not help you find a way around. Father will see to it that you have all that is required, your share (portion), when you love Him, bring Him pleasure (study and understand His Word) and be His faithful service (seed planter).

Ecclesiastes 5:19 says, "Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this [is] the gift of God." "Eat" means "having the knowledge to hold on to the gifts of Father God that you earned."You are rich through Father God's blessings and with that gift comes power over all of your enemies. Eat, partake of the "Light which is the very Word of Father God" with hard labor to receive the blessings of Father God who always takes care of His own. There is only one way to avoid being a "fool" and that is by remembering the more Father entrusts to your knowledge, giving you wisdom, the more that is required from you to use that understanding to plant seeds of truth wherever they may be heard, sharing the "Good Gospel." This is how Father's Word is spread. Pleasing Father will bring great joy to your spirit and receiving your portion because of it will cause you to rejoice in the love Father has for you.

Ecclesiastes 5:20 says, "For he shall not much remember the days of his life; because God answereth [him] in the joy of his heart." Father God gives gifts to His children who deserve them and it is your responsibility to enjoy those gifts with gladness. You should be very happy to be under the will of Almighty God, laboring for His cause, a part of His Perfect Plan, building your gospel armor with the Truths of Father's Word and sharing that understanding, planting seeds for all seeking to be a part of the "many-membered Body of Christ Jesus." When you accomplish all things in your life through Father God, even though there will still be tough times, as you go on each day, you will not even remember the struggles gone by. In pleasing Almighty God you will find rest, peace of mind and gladness.
