HEBREWS – CHAPTER 4
Hebrews 4:1 says, “Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left [us] of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.” “Fear” means “to reverence, venerate, to treat with deference or reverential obedience – to abode, to rest in, dwell in Father God - sincerely.” “Rest” with Almighty God means having “peace of mind – residing with spiritually.” Be mindful of the promises of Father God, sincerely, since if you are not knowing of what these promises are, it would not be possible to have “rest, peace of mind in our Father.” Our LORD wants His children to know what He promises, accepting them since this is from whence our blessings flow, if, you understand the conditions. Father teaches us in Isaiah 43:26 which says, “Put me in remembrance {remind Me}: let us plead together {talk with Me}: declare thou {understand}, that thou mayest be justified {acceptable}.” Father knows what His promises are and He wants to be sure His children know them as well, and that knowledge comes from studying His Word. When obstacles present themselves within your life, problems seem to be flourishing all around, return to Father, repent in the name of Christ Jesus, and let Father’s Spirit lead, guide, direct and instruct you according to His will. Father’s promises to His children are taught within His Word and when you claim them, they will bring you “rest.” Father God always takes care of His own, even when we fall short, when we return unto Him.
Hebrews 4:2 says, “For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard [it].” The “gospel” is the “good news”, that greatest love of all, “being our Father God”, born from above through His Beloved Son Christ Jesus, who paid the price for our sins, our “Perfect Sacrifice”, for all of mankind. This is why and how we obtain “peace and rest” within our Father God. “Christ Jesus is the Living Word of Father God Almighty”, and His teaching [John 1:1] were/are heard by the good and ignorant of mankind, only those [the ignorant] who stand against our Father, have no eyes to see and ears to hear what “thus saith our LORD.” We are a generation of “faith”, and it is through studying Father’s Word, understanding His Truths, that we come to know the promises of Almighty God, which “captivates and blesses {profits}” our lives, and most of all our souls, when we “abode” with Him. A “lack of faith” opens the door “to unbelief”, which brings about doubt in the promises of Father who loves His children and wants all to have eyes that see and ears that hear with understanding, just as the very elect do. Christ taught the “Parable of the Sower [Matthew – Chapter 13]”, wherein some heard the seed of truth and did not accept it turning a deaf ear, others hearing and believing until they are faced with an obstacle and become as a reed shaking in the wind as their seeds were not rooted in understanding, others hearing the seeds of truth and rather than rooting with understanding devise ways of usury for their own gain, others faithful when seeds of truth are planted within their minds as they seek the increase from Father that the seeds may root bringing about grateful understanding of “His Precious Word.” “The word preached did not profit them” because they had no faith and trust in Father, remaining steadfast to endure until the end, resting/relying on Father God. Instead, the children in the wilderness did “err”, turning away from Father and building their own idols to worship, which kept them from entering into “Father’s rest” because they lacked faith and trust, never entering into that promised land of love. “Christ Jesus” is “the truth, the path and the way to the Light”, which brings our spirits to “rest in the love of Father God.” John 14:23 & 24 says, “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” “He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.”
Hebrews 4:3 says, “For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.” “Rest” means “to lead to a quiet abode – repose/where there is peace of mind, joy, happiness and love.” Father God gives all who love Him and are faithful and trusting a promise, with that condition of, “if.” “From the foundation of the world” means “from before the overthrown of lucifer [satan] in Heaven when he and his entourage rebelled against Father God.” Almighty God, our loving, kind and merciful LORD, had a plan of salvation, who is Christ Jesus, in motion before this Second Earth Age we now live in, which is that “rest, peace of mind” for all of His children who love Him, having faith, trust and understanding of who “YAHOVAH” is, seeking knowledge of His Word. Father chose His children before the foundation of this world we now live in as is taught in Ephesians – Chapter 1 {4}. Before the foundation of this world, was the First Earth Age when we were within spiritual bodies. We now live in this Flesh Age, each and every soul having to be born from above, into this Second Earth Age for the purpose of choosing to love and follow Father God, or, to be a part of this world which is sinful since Father God has permitted satan and his children, the kenites, to have some authority. Father will never leave or forsake His faithful children and will send to each and every one of them that seek Him, a teacher to plant those seeds of truth to awaken the hearts of the very elect and they know to come before “the Throne” for that increase of understanding only Father God can give. “If” you follow after your pulpit guru, listening to the doctrines and traditions of men where the kenites sit in their very churches, waiting to rapture, any moment, fly away, you can be confident, that you are not receiving “rest” in Father. This is a choice all must make. Christ Jesus has prepared a place for all who receive Him, seeking that rest in Father God as is taught in John 14:2 - 4 which says, “In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. “ “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.” “And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.” The very elect of Father God, when they come to the knowledge of themselves and their purpose, studying Chapter by Chapter, Verse by Verse, receiving understanding only Father can give, will share those seeds of truth wherever they may be heard, and all have to take that same path to receive understanding, to avoid the deception that is yet to come upon the whole earth. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” This is the “greatest love of all.”
Hebrews 4:4 says, “For he spake in a certain place of the seventh [day] on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.” “Seventh/seven” means “completeness, spiritual, perfection.” Father God is teaching us that “rest follows work.” Genesis 2:1 says, “Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.” Father God had completed His love, having created Heaven and earth, a mighty work from our loving and kind Father. Genesis 2:2 & 3 says, “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.” “And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” This is the order of Almighty God Himself and it is up to you and me to follow the example our Father has laid down before His children. Father is showing us that your “rest in Him”, comes after and because of your “work” for Him since Father created mankind for His good pleasure [Revelation 4:11]. Father did not “rest” on the seventh day because He was tired, rather, Father was at “peace” because that work, that which He had formed, was completed, “It is Finished.” These are the same words Christ spoke from the cross [John 19:30] before He ascended to sit at the right hand of His Father, His “work” on this earth complete, before He took His rightful place in Heaven, at “rest with His Father.” That was the “First Advent/Coming” of Christ Jesus. The “Second Advent/Coming of Christ Jesus” shall be when that “Seventh Trumpet” sounds as is taught in Revelation – Chapters 14 & 15. Knowing this, waiting patiently as you continue in faithful study of Father’s Word, planting seeds of truth wherever they will be heard, building your gospel armor to stand against satan when he is cast to this earth, knowing the Holy Spirit is with all who have the seal of truth within their minds, brings that “rest, peace of mind” Father God blesses with when you are loving toward Him, faithful and trusting.
Hebrews 4:5 says, “And in this [place] again, If they shall enter into my rest.” To have “rest, peace of mind with Father God”, there is a condition, that “if.” There is not one of mankind that is in any way close to perfect, not even the very elect. All fall short at times since it is the nature of flesh to sin. What separates the very elect from those playing christian is the fact that the very elect know how to get up, dust themselves off, repent before the Throne of Almighty God in the Precious Name of Christ Jesus, and get back to “work” for Father God Almighty. The very elect know that there is no good thing they can do without Father and when the woes of this world throw an obstacle, there are times when, being human, the solution may be mismanaged. This is why Father has offered repentance from a pure and true heart when you come to Him and confess of sins committed. Father knows all thoughts and He will forgive a true heart, placing His child back on that path so “His work” can be continued, and His child can once again have that “rest, peace of mind” because Father God never leaves or forsakes His own. People will disappoint you at every turn, however “Father God Almighty is always Faithful and True”, and no matter what harm any one tries to cause you, or any obstacle that falls on to your path, seek “Father God, giving Him praise and glory to rescue you, for He only is worthy to be praised for all of His glorious works toward His children.”
Hebrews 4:6 says, “Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:” The children who wandered in the wilderness had the gospel preached to them, however they did not listen, because of their unbelief, which means they were disobedient to Father God and they never entered into the promised land. “Unbelief” and disobedience most often go hand and hand. Looking around at this world, which is made up of people, proves this truth. There is a lot of confusion going on and there is only one way not to be a part of it, placing yourself in harms way, and that is by staying firm within the Word of Father God, for that is where your rest/peace of mind lies. Father has given us power over satan and the only way to exert that authority is by having truth sealed within your mind. If you separate yourself from Father’s Holy Word, the door is open for disobedience, which can cause one to walk right into a lack of faith and unbelief, placing yourself in jeopardy wherein you are no good to yourself or anyone else because you lack a spiritual foundation, giving yourself over to the world which belongs to satan. Father God wants His children to be as a candle which brings forth light, continuing in faithful study which keeps us on a solid foundation, which is Christ Jesus, wherein lies our rest. Radiant beams of truth come from understanding Father’s Truths, which instructions our lives, keeping you from the darkness of disbelief, as you walk in that “rest, having peace of mind in Father God Almighty who is worthy to be praised.”
Hebrews 4:7 says, “Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.” Father God wants His children to love and accept Him without question, understanding how much He loves us through His Word and start now, “today.” We are living in the last generation, and if you are not in Father, knowing the events that consummate the end of his Second Earth Age, you may find yourself one day too late. Just as the children did not enter into the promised land, you will find yourself bowing down and worshipping the first/false christ [satan], and when our True Christ returns, you will not know who He is until actually seeing Him returning to this earth, which means you were “one day too late.” This is why Christ did not ask mankind to understand the “Parable of the Fig Tree”, He said “to learn {increase one’s knowledge - understand completely}” this Parable [Matthew – Chapter 24, Mark – Chapter 13]. When you are as the children Father released from Pharaoh, parting the Red Sea for them to walk through, the water all around them, yet their path clear, the army that was trying to harm them, destroyed, along with the many other miracles they witnessed with their eyes, yet they still did not believe [Psalms 95:7 & 8], you are not engrafted within the Word of Father God. James 1:21 says, “Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.” You cannot enter into Father’s rest with a “hardened heart.” This world is not your home, the Heavenly Kingdom of Father God is the home all should be longing to be a part of, and this is why you do not want to be one day too late, jeopardizing your soul.
Hebrews 4:8 says, “For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.” “Jesus and Joshua” mean “YAHOVAH is salvation.” For understanding, following the subject, this Verse, should say, “For if Joshua {Jesus} had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.” It was Joshua who led, since Moses was not allowed to enter into the promised land, the children of Father’s grace and mercy into that land, “that rest.” This is a foreshadow of that which was yet to come as Christ Jesus was born from above, walking with mankind upon this earth, and that He alone would be our “Salvation and spiritual rest” when we have faith and trust in our Father God Almighty. Biblically illiterate christians or pulpit gurus cannot offer you salvation since what most of them spew is babble and confusion which is of satan. Salvation comes “from” Christ Jesus and repentance comes “through” Christ Jesus. Having received “salvation” which is “deliverance”, brings about rejoicing since Father God offers you joy in His love “from” Christ Jesus. “Repentance” is a “change of mind from anything that is against Father’s instructions, be it of thought, word or deed”, and by the Spirit of Father God, your spirit brings you to conviction as you confess your sins, seeking Father’s forgiveness through Christ Jesus. It is Christ Jesus who shall lead mankind into the Eternity as He reigns through the Millennial Kingdom teaching, our Father God descending to this earth after that one thousand year teaching, wherein our LORD’S home shall be a new Heaven and a new Jerusalem, right here where you now live. The promised land was a type for the Heavenly Age that is yet to come. When “Christ Jesus returns at the Second Advent”, there is “no time for another day.” When “Father God Almighty descends to this earth”, wherein it is a new Heaven and a new Jerusalem, there is “no time for another day.”
Hebrews 4:9 says, “There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.” This “rest” is mankind’s “Sabbath, who is Christ Jesus.” This is “Strong’s Concordance Greek Word No. 4520, sabbatismos, which means, “practicing {living according to} a sabbath.” This is not to say that every sixth or seventh day of the week is the time you should be going to church and demonstrating your form of worship, your sabbath. Colossians 2:8 says, “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Therefore, this “rest” is the “repose” wherein there is “blessed rest from the toils and troubles looked for in the Heavenly Age to come for all those who believe in and magnify Father God Almighty, a reflection of, once the Second or Flesh Age exists no more of – It Is Finished.” As we now live in this flesh though, this “rest, sabbath”, is that “repose” which is a “peace that comforts your spirit when you accept Christ Jesus, becoming one with Him, and He becomes your Sabbath, for Christ Jesus is our Living Word, seven days a week.” As one of the very elect, you should be studying and/or meditating on Father’s Word seven days a week, planting seeds of truth to all those lost in their own religion, void of Father God, as well as to those simply lost in the world, wandering, and it is not on Saturday or Sunday, rather, each and every day of the week that this truth is planted in the mind of whomever will receive it. Our “rest” is in “Christ Jesus” because a day of the week has no power and no day is more acceptable than another day. In order to have a spirit that communes with “YAHOVAH Father God” it must be through our “rest, who is Yeshua Christ Jesus.” Isaiah 56:2 says, “Blessed [is] the man [that] doeth this, and the son of man [that] layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.” “Christ Jesus became our Sabbath when He arose from the dead.” Colossians 2:14 - 17 says, “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances {this is not the law} that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross {Christ Jesus};” You must understand the difference between the law, statutes and ordinances. When Christ shed His blood on the cross, our perfect Sacrifice for all of mankind, there was no longer a need for blood sacrifices, and to do so would be an abomination. Christ {Father God Almighty Himself} became our Sacrifice and tasted death for all of mankind. “[And] having spoiled principalities and powers {satan’s kingdom}, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it {Christ defeated death, who is satan, the son of perdition, when He sacrificed Himself on that cross for mankind}.” “Let no man therefore judge you in meat {let no one deter you from the truth of Father’s Word, keeping you sucking on milk}, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon {Father’s children are of the light, solar system}, or of the sabbath [days] {do not worship them because Christ Jesus is our Sabbath}:” “Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body [is] of Christ {our true Sabbath}.” Our “rest {sabbath}” is in “Christ Jesus each and every day of our life.” Christ Jesus is our Intercessor to Father God Almighty, and only a fool would not commune with our Creator each and every day, seven days a week since it is Father who opens the doors to our hearts and mind to receive understanding of His Precious Truths. Imagine your life if Father was only with you on your day of worship. Imagine what life is like for any who do not live each day seeking blessings from Father to “help” with keeping His commandments and laws each and every day. Imagine what life would be like for any who when they fall prey to sin have to wait until their day of worship to seek forgiveness. That is not “rest”, that is turmoil which is of and pleasing to satan.
Hebrews 4:10 says, “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God [did] from his.” When your “rest” in is Christ Jesus, you live your life as best you can according to the “Word of Father God Almighty.” This does not mean life will be perfect since flesh will always fall short, however no matter what life may bring you, being in Father God “through” Christ Jesus, you know what is necessary to return to Father and be under His love, grace, mercy and forgiveness. So when you are “entered into His rest”, it is each and every day of your life that you commune with Father God through Christ Jesus, studying His Word, Chapter by Chapter, Verse by Verse, Precept upon Precept. If you are not familiar with Father’s Truths, you have no good thing to share with anyone about it. If you have been taught the doctrines and traditions of men, you must as I Corinthians 5:7 & 8 says, “Purge out therefore the old leaven {doctrines and traditions of men}, that ye may be a new lump {understanding the Truth of Father’s Word}, as ye are unleavened {cleansed}. For even Christ our Passover {the highest day in christianity} is sacrificed for us:” “Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened [bread] of sincerity and truth.” Christ Jesus is our Living Word and through understanding the Word of Father God comes your “rest {Sabbath}.”
Hebrews 4:11 says, “Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” You want to “work for that rest {labour}” by studying Father’s Truths, so your mind is never filled with “doubt {unbelief} of the existence of Father, who created all things of Heaven and earth.” Babble and confusion, which is of satan, is dismissed when you are Biblically literate. If you do not experience that circumcision [Romans 2:25 - 29] of your heart and mind with Biblical knowledge, you will become as the children in the wilderness that became prey to unbelief, resulting in their being a day late.
Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” The “Word of God” lives and is infinity {quick}, full of energy {powerful}, and cuts deep {piercing}. Your spirit is the intellect of your soul, which is yourself, and you have a soul in the flesh or spiritual body. Having the knowledge of Almighty God’s truths within your mind will bring your spirit into understanding that your soul may be captivated unto He who gave it to us “for His pleasure.” Father God, when you know Him, which comes from studying His Word, teaches you how to take care of yourself evenin the flesh {joints and marrow}, such as teachings on the food laws. A pig is a filthy animal, a scavenger as many other animals, and Father said it is not to be consumed by mankind. Father’s Word is the standard by which all of His children are to live while in this Second or Flesh Earth Age, as well as in the Third or Eternal Earth Age. You can play church and fool the people, however, you cannot fool Father God who knows all things about each and every one of His children.
Hebrews 4:13 says, “Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things [are] naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” “Opened” means “the trachea, the opening to the throat.” Through the trachea, your throat, Father God can see your being, your inner self, which means there is nothing you can do that is a secret since Father knows “all things” about each of His children. This is an analogy reflecting on when the priests cut open the animal that was to be sacrificed to Father God to ensure of its purity before the offering. There is no thought {naked} that any of us can have that Father God does not know of. Father God sees and knows all of our imperfections, and His Word is what “cuts both ways.” Father loves all of His children, even the kenites {children of satan}, and He wants all to come to repentance through belief in our Lord Jesus Christ, that our sins may be forgiven as we place them at the feet of Father who forgives a pure and true heart.
Hebrews 4:14 says, “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession.” Father God wants mankind to acknowledge Him, accepting that rest He offers, doing all within our power to walk a Christ-like path. “Christ Jesus” is our “great high priest.” He is our Intercessor to Father God, and Christ is our Advocate as we live upon this earth, keeping all who call on Father from harms way since He too was tempted, therefore knowing what things we endure as we live within these flesh bodies. Unlike Christ, we are not perfect and we will fall short and sin. However, even when we do fall short, it is through Christ Jesus that we regain our balance, continuing to be a servant, doing the work Father God intends for us. Therefore, Christ Jesus is our High Priest, and He sits at the right hand of Father God, mankind’s Intercessor to our LORD.
Hebrews 4:15 says, “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin.” “Christ Jesus is Perfect”, however He knows the temptations we endure since He Himself was tempted by satan and all through the time leading up to and including His crucifixion by the children of satan, the kenites. Christ showed mankind how to react to those wicked in mind and spirit who lay a snare for Father’s children. Christ Jesus can and will help us during those times because He knows, it happened to Him, only Christ is God, Perfect, and we are not. Knowing these things, Christ gave us comfort as Hebrews 2:18 says, ““For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.” “Succour” means “to help, bring aid.” Christ Jesus was tempted by satan for forty days so He knows all about what darkness, who is satan, is capable of. This also means that Christ Jesus is our “guaranteed help” at that time when temptation is all around, “if” you reach out to Him and seek direction, guidance and instruction through the Word of Father God Almighty.
Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” “Boldly” means “to come with honesty.” “Mercy” means “love, unmerited favor”, and “grace” means “the merciful kindness of Father God.” When you acknowledge Father God, He will extend forgiveness, offer help, bless with knowledge and understanding, and strength through His love and unmerited favor, He will give all things to His children who understand and study His Word. Father wants His children to come before His Throne and talk with Him, seeking guidance and direction. Father wants His children to come before His Throne and seek forgiveness of sins with a pure heart in the precious name of Christ Jesus. Father wants His children to hold a conversation with Him. He has very broad shoulders and you will not find anyone on the whole earth who will listen as Father will. There is no one on the whole earth who will embrace you with the compassion and love Father will. No one on the whole earth will understand you as Father will. Our LORD God Almighty is Faithful and True to His children who love Him and study His Word, understanding His Truths, doing all within their power to walk a Christ-like path. Father God, compassionate and patient in all of His ways, wants His children to come before Him with confidence, confessing of sins with a pure and true heart, knowing that He is the only One you must answer to. Father wants His children to be accepting of His chastisement and be obedient, disciplined, because that is love. Father wants His children to accept His Beloved Son, understanding that He sacrificed Himself on that cross for each and every one of us, from the beginning of this Flesh or Second Earth Age until the last soul is born from above. “Father God is our rest, our peace, when you know, love and serve Him.”
